Today, as more than one billion people in over 190 countries commemorate the 45th Earth Day, it’s important to recognize one of the most historic environmental achievements that has contributed to a
cleaner environment while powering the global economy – clean diesel technology.
“Each year, we celebrate and renew our commitment to protect and enhance our environment, conserve our resources, and improve our quality of life. This is not just a vision, but a daily reality for the leaders in clean diesel technology; companies that provide the world with the most advanced and powerful engines, equipment, machines and vehicles and fuels. They don’t just make equipment, they empower people, economies and prosperity,” said Allen Schaeffer, the Executive Director of the Diesel Technology Forum.
“We see a future where environmental progress and economic opportunity are both enabled with a new generation of clean diesel technology. Whether tending thousand-acre farms that help feed the world, building roads and clean water infrastructure that connect communities, or powering a commercial truck for taking goods to market, or a fuel-sipping personal car, diesel technology is delivering on that future today. The power of diesel engines is not just measured in horsepower; it is measured in people power- enabling progress and prosperity using efficient, modern and clean tools.
