Fincantieri: The release from seizure of theMonfalcone areas

Trieste, 6 July 2015 – Fincantieri announces that today, the Prosecutor's Office of Gorizia has ordered the release of the areas in Monfalcone shipyard subject to seizure on 29 June. The working activities for all the workers involved in the production cycle of the Monfalcone shipyard will resume as of
tomorrow.
Fincantieri thanks the Government, the institutions and all those who in recent days have spoken out in favour of the protection of the company and the right to work, which shall always be safeguarded, especially when the safety and health of workers is not called into question.

With surprise the company has learned that, simultaneously with the notification of the decree of release from seizure, upon request of the same Prosecutor, the director of the shipyard was served with a notice of investigation for alleged violations of the rules related to the Integrated Environmental Authorization.

Fincantieri is one of the world's largest shipbuilding groups and number one by diversification and presence in all high value-added market sectors, having built more than 7,000 vessels in over 230 years of its maritime history.
